Lighting Research

Harry C. Box (2013). Set Lighting Technicians Handbook. 4th ed. Oxon: Focal Press. 37.

For lighting I plan to frequently refer to this diagram as it will help me plan the spacing between my lights. I will have to over lap lights in their 'Field Area' to keep the light intensity more fluid over the set however I feel like I may find it hard to avoid getting hot spots as the set is small and enclosed. The only way I feel like I can avoid that is to diffuse the lights however I do not feel like diffusing the lights would work as the set needs to be high key and bright as the show is light hearted. One advantage of using the flood lights or cool lights is they will not have this hot spot or will not have it at as much intensity.
